Cristiano Ronaldo’s third match in a Juventus shirt will be against Parma on Saturday, as the Portuguese will hope to score his first goal for the Old Lady.
Juventus started their Seria a campaign with a 3-2 win at Chievo Verona in their opening match, before seeing off Lazio 2-0 in their first home match of the campaign last weekend.
It will be interesting to see whether Ronaldo starts as a centre forward or a left winger in this match. Initial indications suggest that he will again start on the left, as Max Allegri confirmed that Mario Mandzukic will start this game.
Parma have only one point from their first two matches and they will be looking for their first win this season having recorded a draw at home to Udinese before losing 1-0 to SPAL.
Roberto D’Aversa (Parma manager) –
The greatest strengths of this Juventus team are their possession based play and the mentality of their Coach. We must do well to remain compact and allow few spaces between the lines. Clearly it’s a difficult game, but nothing is impossible. We’ll try to play the perfect match and hope Juve have an off day.
Max Allegri –
Historically, Stadio Tardini is a ground where Juventus have always struggled. It won’t be a walk in the park because titles pass through games like these. The first mini-cycle is coming to an end, but I want to have a peaceful international break and to do that, I want the three points. CR7’s arrival must be an incentive for Dybala, but I see him looking calm. He must find the best condition.
🎙 @OfficialAllegri: "@Cristiano's decision not to attend the #UCLdraw was a personal one and it must be respected. He had an incredible 2017/18 season. Now for us, he is training very well and is in top shape."#ParmaJuve #ForzaJuve pic.twitter.com/sLWplwrQmu

TEAM-NEWS AND EXPECTED XI –
# Joao Cancelo and Cuadrado are competing for the right-back spot.
# Sami Khedira is again expected to get the nod over Emre Can.
# Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Mandzukic will start in attack.
Probable XI –
Cancelo Bonucci Chiellini Sandro
Khedira Pjanic Matuidi
Costa Mandzukic Ronaldo
Juventus have to be careful against this Parma side, who played well in their first home game against Udinese. It will be fantastic if Cristiano Ronaldo can get his first goal for the Bianconeri before the upcoming international break. Both teams will be well organised at the back, so not many goals are expected, but the Old Lady will eventually come out on top and take the three points.
