Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir’s liverpool move is suddenly in huge doubt because of concerns over the playmaker’s fitness.
Fekir, 24, suffered a serious knee injury while playing for France three years ago and it is unclear if the hold-up is related to that.
The French International’s fitness tests have resulted in the club’s medical team developing doubts over whether a £53m transfer should be finalised.
The French club Lyon also sparked concerns on Friday morning after releasing a statement on Twitter labelling reports of an imminent transfer to Liverpool as ‘false’.
Reports from France suggest the issue is in fact with Lyon – due to their accounting practices.
