Maurizio Sarri will not manage Chelsea next season, because the Blues do not want to pay his €8 million release clause, and have asked Sarri to extricate himself from the contract first.
The Coach was fired by Napoli to make way for Carlo Ancelotti, but under Italian rules, his contract remains valid until it is terminated by mutual consent.
Sarri’s agent made some interesting comments on Chelsea, after the talks between the two parties broke down.
“I don’t know who Chelsea are, are they a football club? We only know about Napoli. If I knew what was going to happen, I’d have bought a lottery ticket,” he said.
